Crime Stoppers is a not-for-profit organization that has been giving the citzens of central Indiana a safe way to anonymously provide information about crime and criminals since 1985. More than 21,000 tips have been sent to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies helping solve thousands of crimes, apprehend thousands of dangerous criminals, recover over $4 million in stolen property and illicit drugs, and remove hundreds of guns from the streets. Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana has paid out nearly $700,000 in rewards for information leading to felony arrests and not a single tipster has ever been identified by Crime Stoppers.
